Claire Sower is a contemporary artist born and raised in Vancouver, Canada. At the age of 21 she emigrated to London, England, where she lived for a decade. In 2006, unforeseen circumstances facilitated radical changes in Claire’s life. Consequently, in 2010, she decided to follow in her artist father’s footsteps and began painting.
Claire had her first solo exhibit in 2013 and has since exhibited in New York, Toronto, and Vancouver. In addition to private commissions, she has received commissions from Burt’s Bees and Wiley Press USA. In March 2020, she was featured in the art, architecture, and design magazine Arabella, as an “Artist to Collect.”
Claire’s work hangs in private collections in Canada, the USA, and the UK, and in the public collections of Vancouver General Hospital + the University of British Columbia (VGH + UBC) Foundation, and the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation.
